Prayer of the Month

Lord God, you care for all of humanity and you look upon the people you have created with love and compassion. Fill us with your spirit so that we may see each other through your eyes and become more like Christ in our actions. May we welcome and accept others as you welcome and accept all who come to you. May we love others as we are loved by your steadfast and self-sacrificing love. May we companion others as we are accompanied by your eternal presence. Transformed and blessed as ambassadors of Christ, may we always work diligently together to create safe places of learning where students find a place of belonging and achieve success. Through Christ our Lord. Amen

In recognition of the Amoris Laetitia Family Year, Pope Francis instituted the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly to be celebrated on the fourth Sunday of July, close to the memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus. For this year's celebration on July 24, Pope Francis has chosen the theme “they shall bear fruit even in old age” from Psalm 92:15. Celebrate this wonderful event by saying a prayer for your grandparents (both living and deceased) and consider writing a letter to or creating a piece of art for your loved ones.
